Paediatric Physiotherapists treat and manage a wide variety of conditions ranging from musculoskeletal, post-surgical, developmental, congenital and neurological. Conditions include but are not limited to cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophies, developmental delay, movement disorders/difficulties, syndromes and genetic conditions, clubfoot, plagiocephaly, juvenile chronic arthritis, cystic fibrosis, growth conditions, sever’s disease, osgood-schlatter’s disease, sporting injuries, and general health and fitness.
Paediatric Physiotherapists create a treatment plan that is fun and motivating for your child and work very closely with families, specialists and other health professions to ensure the best possible outcome for your child. Treatment methods used to address conditions are often based around play therapy, movement training, mobility, strength and conditioning, fine and gross motor learning and education.
