“Hang in there”! Mulgrave Physio support community sport clubs

Author: Matt Lewington

Local community clubs and players across Melbourne and Victoria have certainly had multiple challenges and disappointment over the last two winter sport seasons.

It was great to see so many back out on the field or court at the start of the 2021 season, participating in footy, soccer, basketball and netball. Despite high hopes, unfortunately, the ongoing lockdown again led to the disappointing cancellation of the season for most sports across Melbourne.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, volunteers and officials who participated in winter sports this season @:

Mulgrave Physio Centre have long term relationships over many years; actively supporting these local community sporting clubs and leagues; and we look forward to continuing that support moving forward, assisting all to get back playing their chosen sport, as soon as we are all able.

Injury prevention education is now even more critical given the level of training inactivity and lack of match day games that most players have endured over the last two seasons. The team at WPCC will continue to provide guidance to coaches, trainers and all players to ensure a safe and healthy return to winter sport in season 2022.

The WPPC team also assist the playing squads of the clubs with management of injuries, providing a range of services, including Sports Physiotherapy & Exercise Programs. So now maybe an opportune time to get on top of those long-term niggles and injuries, to help ensure you can perform at your best upon return, ready for a big pre-season.

Hang in there! Keep positive, keep moving, keep exercising, keep “kicking goals” or “shooting baskets” – and, if needed, please for our team to assist you to get yourself ready to be back on the field or court for season 2022.
