Author: Matt Lewington

Calling all tradies. We’re here to share the load!!

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist* Andrew Dalwood (FACP) heads the Industrial Physiotherapy team at WPPC assisting with workplace initiatives to help prevent injury.

Every August over the last 10 years, Mulgrave Physio has supported Tradies National Health Month.

Tradies National Health Month, is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) awareness initiative, which focusses on the importance of tradies health.

Why the focus on tradies? Based on a 2019 APA Tradies Health Survey, research shows that 60% of tradies often have aches and pains as a result of their job. Further two-thirds of tradies agreed that they would be more inclined to stretch or warm-up before starting work if their employer prioritised it.
