Physio For Gluteal Tendinopathy
Are you experiencing pain and discomfort in your buttocks that is affecting your daily activities? You may be suffering from gluteal tendinopathy, a common condition
Enhance Physiotherapy has had a long and successful working relationship with the local Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) clients of the Albury/Wodonga and surrounding regions.
Our friendly staff have spent time working at the Blamey Barracks Kapooka, RAAF Base Wagga, and the Latchford Barracks in Bonegilla. This experience has helped us gain some insight on the demands of military training.
We work closely with the veteran community to understand their conditions and work on goals to aid in their recovery. We work with both ‘Gold Card’ and ‘White Card’ veterans. Our Physiotherapists can help with ordering and fitting braces and mobility aids if required. We work closely with rehabilitation services like ‘Helping Heroes’ to facilitate assistance to our veteran community.
We also run a weekly group gym program for our DVA patients.
The class is supervised by one of our physiotherapists and is focused on improving mobility, balance, strength and functional capacity to help you achieve your goals, while also promoting social connections with other DVA members. Initially, patients will be assessed by our physiotherapist Matt who will devise an individual gym-based strength and conditioning program with you, suitable and specific to your injury and needs. Patients will then complete their gym program independently in the class with physiotherapist supervision, to make sure your technique is suitable, and all exercises are completed safely. The group setting is an informal, relaxed environment where patients are able to discuss their own experiences and create relationships which promote social connections with other DVA members.
The class runs on Wednesday morning at 10:30 in our Albury clinic. To attend the class, you will simply require a referral from your GP.
